Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1705356A2] The method involves limiting a fuel quantity to be injected into an internal combustion engine to a limiting value. The limiting value is predefined as a function of an output signal of a closed-loop controller and a precontrol value. A closed-loop controller is used to ascertain the output signal as a function of a comparison between an expected lambda value and an actual lambda value to additively and/or multiplicatively correct the precontrol value. An independent claim is also included for a device for controlling an internal combustion engine.
