Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1705617A2] The method involves obtaining monitoring data relative to a preset HF electric signal produced by an electric equipment e.g. lamp, of a building from a hook-on ammeter (115). The ammeter detects the signal produced by the equipment on an electrical distribution network of the building, when a change of electric state of operation occurs in the equipment. An activity indicator detects an estimation of the activity carried on by a person from the monitoring data generated during a preset time period. The data includes information relative to a date of detection of the detected electric signal, identification data of the electric equipment, and data relating to the change of electric state of operation at the origin of the detected electric signal. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a data processing device for the remote monitoring of the activity of a person in a building (2) a device for the remote monitoring of the activity of a person in a building.
