Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1705951A2] The aid has a memory device (S) storing data (VS1) that is characteristic for a language, and a processing device (VE) processing an input signal. Another data (VS2), characteristic of another language, is stored in the device (S), such that the signal is alternatively processed depending on the data (VS1) or the data (VS2). The two data contain a language-specific amplifying pattern with amplification values for each frequency band. An independent claim is also included for a method of operating an ear hearing aid.
