The damper (1), for furniture doors and sliding drawers, has a housing (2) to accommodate a cylinder (3) with a sliding piston and piston rod (5). A gearing (6) is at the housing to adjust the cylinder and/or a limit stop (7) for the piston rod in relation to the housing, using a screw and a worm wheel (9).
