Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1708222A2] The device has a fuse (2) with two ends (21, 22) in electrical and mechanical contact with two connection studs (11, 12), respectively, where the studs and the ends of the fuse are equipped with the respective mechanical retaining units. The retaining units and the fuse are structured such that a forced fitting of the fuse in each stud causes an elastic deformation of a metallic blank constituting the stud. An insulator has two wings, respectively, adjacent to the studs and with front edges supported on the fuse in an operational configuration of the fuse.
