Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005070285A1] The invention concerns a method and vision test apparatus for determining the necessity of a vision aid during darkness and/or twilight, as well as to a set of vision aids. According to the invention, the daytime defective vision is measured at at least one value of high luminance = 10 cd/m<2>, and the nighttime defective vision is measured at at least one value of low luminance < 10 CD/M<2>. Afterwards, the difference between the daytime defective vision and the nighttime defective vision is determined, and when a defined value is exceeded, the recommendation for using a vision aid during darkness and/or twilight is output.
