Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005070987A1] The invention relates to stabilisers consisting of (I) one or several polyisocyanates having an average of 2 -10, preferably 2,1 - 10, more particularly 2,2 - 10 isocyanate groups per molecule; (II) 0,1 - 1,0 mol isocyanate groups per mol of one or several active substance groups which protect plastic during processing against heat damage, UV-radiation, oxidation, hydrolysis or mechanical effects. The active substance groups are coupled to the polyisocyanates via functional groups A which can react with the isocyanate groups. The active substance groups are selected from phenols, sterically hindered amines (HALS stabilisers), benzotriazoles, benzophenones, aromatic amines and phosphites; (III) 0 - 0,9 mol isocyanate group per mol of one or several auxiliary groups which modify the properties of the stabiliser, the auxiliary groups are coupled to the polyisocyanates via functional groups B which can react with the isocyanate groups.
