Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005071193A1] The invention relates to a bar lock (10) for mounting in an opening (12) in a thin wall (14), said bar lock comprising a head part, such as a flange, an escutcheon plate, a handle rose or a cavity (16) for an actuating lever, having an edge region (22) covering the outer opening edge (20) of the thin wall (14), and a body part (24), such as a lock case, extending from the head part (16) and penetrating the opening (12) after assembly, forming or carrying holding surfaces (26) that lie on the inner opening edge (28) of the thin wall (14) after assembly. The body part (24) (or the head part 16) has a holding element (30) that retreats against an elastic force (32) and engages with a supporting element (34) extending from the head part (16) (or body part 24) during assembly.
