[origin: WO2005059454A1] This invention relates to a cooling device (1) wherein more defrost procedures are applied within the cheap electric tariff determined by the electric distribution company and less are applied within the expensive electric tariff by changing the work schedule of the defrost unit (4) predefined by fixed or flexible defrost algorithms thereby decreasing the electric consumption cost projected onto the consumer.
