[origin: WO2005073687A1] The invention relates to a method for testing the tightness of a gas supply section comprising a gas supply line for a burner. The gas flowing through the gas supply line is blocked from reaching the burner, when the burner is switched off, by a first valve arranged in the gas supply line, and the gas supply line is provided with at least one other gas valve, in line with the first valve, which is disconnected for the tightness test, occluding the gas in the gas supply line. The inventive method is characterised in that the inspection level of the gas occluded in the gas supply line is defined by a test period selected for the tightness test, and the pressure measured in the gas supply line during the test period is evaluated in order to determine the tightness of the gas supply section.
