[origin: WO2005074086A1] The invention relates to a compressed-gas insulation switching device (1) comprising a grounded encapsulation housing (2) consisting of an electrically conductive material and a phase conductor (3) that is electrically insulated and located inside the encapsulation housing (2). A first and a second flange (5, 6) are positioned on the grounded encapsulation housing (2). Insulation housings (12, 13), which contain a respective isolator (16, 17) and an interrupter unit (15) of a power circuit breaker, are connected to the flanges (5, 6). The insulation housings (12, 13) containing the isolator and interrupter unit (15) are interchangeable.
