Abstract (en)
The method involves placing fasteners (R1, R2) around a bag (7) and twisting the fasteners by a closing device (9). The device is driven by crosscut ends of the fasteners or received by clamping of two ends, and adjacently rotated for closing the bag. Ends of the fasteners are pressed against each other by a positioning device after shifting the fasteners to the bag, so that the ends lie close together or parallel to each other. An independent claim is also included for a packaging machine for closing a bag by fasteners.
