Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005075253A1] A metal housing (1) in motor vehicles, provided with a guide groove (4) facing the inside of the housing in order to receive an electronic component arranged on a circuit board, comprising at least one tapered partial area of said guide groove (4), wherein the circuit board (5) can be received in said area in such a way that it is clamped inside the guide groove (4), enabling the circuit board (5) to be grounded to the metal housing (1) in a secure manner. The guide groove (4) can be tapered in the direction of advancement of the circuit board (5) in a continuous or partial manner. The width of the guide groove (4) can increase towards the inside of the housing in a partial or continuous manner and include an end area (11) facing the inside of the housing and wherein the width of the guide groove (4) is constant. The guide groove (4) widens either along the entire length thereof or in one or several distanced partial areas along the length thereof towards the inside of the housing. The guide groove (4) is arranged perpendicular to a base (6) of the housing in a longitudinal direction along a wall of the housing such that the metal housing (1) can be produced by means of an extrusion method.
