Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1712510A2] The method involves making a joint between two threads whose ends are brought into a splicing chamber and subjected to one or more pulses of moistened compressed air. Compressed air blown into the chamber is subjected to water vapor immediately before the inlet to the chamber and the water vapor is produced in a feed channel (3) opening into the chamber via which compressed air is fed into the chamber. An independent claim is also included for a device for splicing e.g. linen or jute fibers.
