Abstract (en)
The key (1) has at least three control grooves on at least one of the two side surfaces and at least one groove is deeper than the others. The two shallow grooves are approximately parallel and the key may have further control elements such as cuts on the shaft (3) for pin tumblers. Control surface son the back, longitudinal ribs and grooves in the thrust direction (5) and millings on the side surfaces. Both shallow grooves are wider in the region from the key tip (10) to at least the first control point (23). An independent claim is also included for a lock for the inventive key.
