Abstract (en)
The lamp has a tungsten electrode fused into each neck of a discharge vessel by sealing foils. The vessel has a discharge space filled with metal halides and mercury. A reflector (8) collects and focuses the light emitted from the vessel. Molybdenum current conductors are passed through holes in the vessel, where space between the reflector and vessel is closed off in a gastight manner and filled with an inert gas.
