[origin: WO2005080024A1] The invention relates to casting machine for producing cast parts, particularly on a cold chamber casting machine, comprising a mold closing unit (1) and at least one casting unit (2) with an associated casting chamber (11). The invention provides that the casting units (2) or at least one of the casting units of the casting machine are/is designed so that they/it conveys melt in the casting chamber thereof with a conveying direction component (12) perpendicular to the direction of movement of the mold closing unit, and/or a common plate (8) serves as a fixed clamping plate (8) and simultaneously as a fixed mold half. The invention is to be used, for example, for producing cast parts made of NE metals with a cold chamber casting method.
