Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005075781A2] The invention relates to a cupboard-type piece of furniture comprising a collapsible flap (2) consisting of two superimposed partial flaps (3, 4). The upper partial flap (3) is pivotably articulated on the body (1) of the piece of furniture, and the lower partial flap (4) can be pivoted on the upper partial flap (3). The rotational axis (13) between the two partial flaps (3, 4) is located in the region of the wall thickness (5) of the partial flaps (3, 4). The distance between the instantaneous centre of rotation (20) of the lower partial flap (4) and the lower edge (16) of the lower flap (4) corresponds to at least 25 % of the height (h) of the lower partial flap (4) when the collapsible flap (2) is closed.
