Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005078352A1] The invention relates to a method for operating a cooking appliance comprising a cooking chamber defined by a housing and a door in the closed position thereof, and a cooking appliance control system. Said door can be automatically opened by a door opening device by means of the cooking appliance control system. The aim of the invention is to improve the operating comfort for the user. To this end, the door (6) automatically moves from the closed position to the open position at the end of the cooking process, and back into the closed position if a previously determined threshold value of a physical variable, stored in a memory of the cooking appliance control system, is not reached. The invention also relates to a device for carrying out the inventive method.
