Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2859308A1] An apparatus for moving a control bar in the core of a pressurized water-cooled nuclear reactor (PWR) comprises a control rod with the bar fitted to one end, an electromechanical system to actuate the rod, and a sealed chamber fixed to the cover (10) of the reactor vessel. It has a tubular housing (13) for the mechanism and an adapter (12) made in one piece (15). At its end opposite the adapter the housing has an internal thread (13c) and a seal lip for the threaded end (14a) of a sleeve (14) round the upper end of the control rod.
