Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005074050A2] The invention relates to a piezo actuator comprising a multi-layer structure consisting of piezo layers and of inner electrodes (2, 3) place therebetween, and comprising a mutual lateral contacting of the inner electrodes (2, 3) via outer electrodes (4), via which an electric voltage can be supplied. According to the invention, the outer electrodes (4) are contacted at least at points by the respective inner electrodes (2, 3) and can lie upon an extensible area between the contactings. The outer electrodes (4) are each comprised of a shaped part (5) and of individual wires (6). These individual wires (6), while running parallel to the layers, are contacted by the respective inner electrodes (2, 3), and the individual wires (6) form a zone that undergoes extension between the contacting and the shaped part (5) and/or areas of the shaped part (5).
