Soles for cross-country, alpine, mountaineering skis, snowboard etc. with particular inserts of different materials which have the dual scope of eliminating excess water formation between the sole of the ski and the snow in conditions of humid, wet snow (PTFE or other water repellant material), or of causing the formation of a veil of water between the sole of the ski and the snow in conditions of cold, dry snow (elastomeres or polymeres, to increase the smoothness in both cases).
