[origin: EP1715103A2] The street sweeper has a vehicle (1) mounted on wheels (2,3) and with a front brush mounting carrying two rotary brushes (20,21). The brushes are mounted on a knee joint linkage (12) which allows each brush to assume a position intermediate of its end positions. The brushes can be pivoted to avoid obstacles. The brushes can be adjusted by a hydraulic actuating cylinder which operates against a bias spring holding the coupling in its extended position.
