[origin: EP1715115A2] The section has a connecting unit (16) joined with adjacent components (12, 14) via bent-edges, where one bent-edge is flush with other bent-edge when the section is aligned lengthwise. A connecting unit (30) connects the components and is directly fixed in a strap opposite to the components. The section is produced as a single sheet metal component from a band-shaped semi finished product. An independent claim is also included for a load carrying system comprising a flexible section.
