[origin: WO2005080669A1] The present invention relates to a method of increasing the depth of shade of dyed natural or synthetic polyamide fibre materials, which comprises treating the fibre material - before, during or after dyeing - with an aqueous liquor comprising a polyamine, the polyamine being the product of reaction of a compound containing at least two primary amino groups with ethylene oxide, propylene oxide, 1,2-epoxybutane, a chloroalkylamine or an aromatic compound having at least one -COCI, -S03CI or -S02-Z substituent wherein Z is vinyl, 2-chloroethyl or 2-sulfatoethyl, or the product of reaction of a compound containing at least two primary amino groups with an unsaturated aliphatic cyano compound and subsequent hydrogenation.
