Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2005083434A2] The invention relates to a device for the optical evaluation of test strips which have respective delimited areas in which an optically detectable signal can be generated upon contact with a sample to be examined. The device comprises a positioning device having a receptacle for at least one test strip or at least one test strip unit consisting of a plurality of test strips linked in a defined planar arrangement, and an image producing device that detects an image of at least one of the delimited areas and hands over the detection result to an image analysis device. Said image analysis device qualitatively and/or quantitatively evaluates the optically detectable signals for every test strip.
