Abstract (en)
The method involves shifting a doctoring device (26) such that the shifting velocity of the doctoring device is within the range of 0-0.1 meter/second during a predominant period of a printing operation. The doctoring device is fixed at a retainer. The shifting movement superimposes a vibration movement with a frequency of 1 Hertz, where the vibration movement is achieved in the direction of longitudinal axis of the doctoring device. An independent claim is also included for a printing machine with a doctor roller.
