[origin: EP1717360A2] A weft insertion device (10) comprises: a plurality of nozzles (12), each of which flies one of a plurality of weft yarns; a plurality of opening and closing valves (14) each of which is connected to one of the nozzles (12); a pressure adjusting valve (16) connected in common with the plural valves (14) at their fluid inlets; a pressure source (18) for supplying a compressed fluid maintained at a predetermined pressure value to the pressure adjusting valve (16); and a controller (26) for controlling opening and closing of one opening and closing valve (14) selected sequentially from the plural opening and closing valves (14) and the preset value of the pressure adjusting valve (16).
