The active sound insulator is used in the air intake channel (2) of a combustion engine fitted with a sensor (16) linked to a control unit controlling a converter (8). It has a heat- and damp-proof membrane (7) acoustically coupled to the intake air flow (AS) in the air intake channel. The surface (9) of the membrane is displaced by the converter in bending vibrations.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen aktiven Ansaugschalldämpfer für einen Luftansaugkanal (2) eines Verbrennungsmotors, der eine Sensorik (16) aufweist, welche mit einer einen Wandler (8) ansteuernden Kontrolleinheit (10) verbunden ist. Es ist ferner eine hitze- und feuchtigkeitsbeständige Membran (7) vorgesehen, die mit dem Ansaugluftstrom (AS) im Luftansaugkanal (2) akustisch gekoppelt ist. Die dem Ansaugluftstrom (AS) zugewandte Oberfläche (9) der Membran (7) ist durch den Wandler (8) in Biegeschwingungen versetzbar. Auf diese Weise wird auf den Ansaugluftschall abgestimmter Körperschall erzeugt.
