The device has a carrying unit (20), over which a substrate channel (60) runs. A guide plate (40) is connected with the unit (20) and leads away from an end (41) of the channel. A gas flow (30) is discharged from the unit (20) and has floating and intake areas (31, 32). The gas flow flows between the unit (20) and the channel in the area (31), and ensures continuous process of the guide plate and flows away from the channel in the area (32). An independent claim is also included for a method for treating e.g. drying, a substrate channel.

Die Erfindung richtet sich auf eine Vorrichtung (10) zum Behandeln, insbesondere Trocknen, einer Substratbahn (60). Der erfindungsgemäße Konvektionstrockner umfasst dabei ein Trageelement (20), über das die Substratbahn (60) läuft. Mit diesem ist wenigstens ein Leitblech (40) verbunden, das an einem Ende (41) von der Substratbahn (60) wegführt. Zwischen dieser Bahn (60) und dem Trageelement (20) fließt ein Gasstrom (30), der in einem ersten Bereich (31) die Substratbahn (60) trägt. In einem zweiten Bereich (32) folgt der Gasstrom (30) dem Verlauf des Leitbleches (41) und zieht aufgrund des Coanda-Effektes die Substratbahn (60) zum Trageelement (20) hin (Fig. 1).
