Abstract (en)
In a munition testing device comprising a housing containing a receiver (3) for a munition, the receiver comprises fiber composite material (8) with an inner liner (7) and has a suitable layer thickness (d) to make it transparent to radiation. INDEPENDENT CLAIM are also included for two measuring systems incorporating the above device, in which: (A) X-ray sources are arranged before the shooting (i.e. testing) device such that radiation beams enter through a cartridge store (3) under a defined angle and collide with a detector device at the exit side; or (B) the cartridge store is irradiated through a multi-anode tube, behind which a fluorescence screen is located, so that the X-ray radiation is converted into visible light, which is received by a high-speed camera and an image intensifier in series.
