Abstract (en)

The system (1) has central memory units (4,5,6) in respective vehicle locations (S1-S3) for archiving vehicle and driver data (FD) obtained from the driver card (2) and vehicle-mounted data recording device (3). Card interfaces (7-9) are installed in devices (GT,GPP,GPH) provided in gas stations (T), multi-story car parks (PP) or parking lots (PH) for connection with the driver card. The map interfaces collect vehicle and driver data from the driver card during the temporary stay of the motor vehicle (Lkw) in e.g. gas station, and transfers the collected data to a data management center (10). Radio interfaces (11,11',11") and cable interfaces (12,12',12") are also installed in the devices in the gas stations, multi-story car parks or parking lots for collecting data from the vehicle-mounted data recording device and for transferring collected data to the data management center. A constant data link is provided between the data management center and respective vehicle locations. An independent claim is included for the vehicle and driver data collection method.
