Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005077674A2] Coin/token provided with a relief consisting of ribs. Part of an image is applied to the side of each rib and these parts together form the complete image. On each side the image is produced by applying raised and lowered portions. The raised portions consist of surfaces or plateaus that extend parallel to the lower lying portions or surfaces. The surface structure of the raised portions differs from the surface of the lowered portions and preferably has a matt finish. It is possible to apply part of an image to both sides of each rib, so that different images are seen when the coin/token is viewed in different directions.
