[origin: WO2005072708A1] The invention relates to a microcapsule, particularly for immobilizing chemical and/or biological material, in addition to a method for the production thereof. Said capsule is stable in concentrated media but can be destroyed when the medium is diluted and undergoes relatively low mechanical impingement, whereupon the material included therein is released. According to the invention, said material can be a chemical substance such as an active substance or an enzyme or consist of biological material such as microorganisms, cells or mixtures thereof.
