[origin: FR2866569A1] Metronidazole is used to prepare a pharmaceutical composition for treating diseases involving IL-8RB and/or PAC-1 receptors. ACTIVITY : Dermatological; Antipsoriatic; Antiinflammatory; Immunosuppressive; Antibacterial. MECHANISM OF ACTION : IL-8RB receptor modulator; PAC-1 receptor modulator. Metronidazole increased binding of radioiodinated interleukin-8 to recombinant human IL-8RB receptor by 20.8% at a concentration of 10 mu M.
