Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2865949A1] The press has a lower die (4), an upper die (6) and a hydraulic jack (8) for inserting a metal piece (2) between the two dies. A laser (16) emits a laser beam (14) on a surface of the piece (2). An opening (18) is formed in the die (6) for passing the laser beam on the piece through the die (6). A laser (20) is provided for heating the piece, during forming of the piece. An independent claim is also included for a method of forming a metal with large thickness.
