Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005080718A1] The invention relates to a locking/release device for a pivoting catch (5) for a door opener (15), comprising a locking lever (4) which locks or releases the pivoting catch (5), and a safety lever (1) which maintains the locking lever (4) in a locked position. The locking lever (4) can be pivoted in a releasing position with the aid of an electromagnet (3). The safety lever (1) is mounted in the centre point of the mass thereof. A safety lever (1) is thus required for the impact security of the door opener, the susceptibility to vibration and shaking can be reduced thus producing a compact arrangement. In a preferred embodiment, the safety lever (1) comprises two lever arms (6, 7). The electromagnet (3) interacts with the one lever arm (7) and a pressure spring (11) interacts with the other lever arm (6). The device can be built in any position.
