[origin: WO2005083316A1] The invention relates to an in-ground light (1) which comprises a mounting frame (10), a lamp support (12) and a transparent cover (26) that is at least partially recessed into the mounting frame (10) and sealed off. The mounting frame (10) has an annular shoulder area at a downward distance from its upper edge, which supports the lamp support (12) with a flange (12a). The transparent cover (26) overlaps the flange (12a) and is supported thereon. An annular seal (28) is interposed between the flange (12a) and the transparent cover (26). The aim of the invention is to improve the seal's impermeability to surface water. For this purpose, a first sealing ring (13) is interposed between the inner peripheral surface of the mounting frame (10) and the outer peripheral surface of the flange (12a) and/or between the shoulder area and the flange (12a).
