[origin: WO2005081549A2] The invention relates to a device for converting UMTS-FDD signals into WLAN signals, said device comprising a unit for receiving the UMTS-FDD signals, means for converting the received signals into WLAN signals, and means for providing or transmitting the WLAN signals. The invention also relates to a device for converting UMTS signals into signals according to a telephone standard, said device comprising a unit for receiving the UMTS signals, means for converting the receiving signals into signals according to a telephone standard, and means for providing or transmitting signals according to a telephone standard. The invention further relates to a communication system comprising a device defined by one of the claims 1 to 9, and at least one computer connected to the device and/or at least one telephone installation or fax machine.
