Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1719684A1] The coupling has a coupling-shaft (1) and a linkage (2), which includes a bearing case (4), where the rear end of the shaft is connected with the linkage. The rear end of the shaft is horizontally pivotable by the bearing case at a wagon body of the railway vehicle. A shock proof unit (5) integrated in the linkage is designed such that a connection between the shaft and the linkage is released when a critical impact force transmitted by the shaft to the linkage exceeds, and the shaft partially absorbs the force transmitted to the linkage.
