[origin: EP1719858A2] The device has an elongated structure (200) comprising ends (210, 220), where the ends have a rotational drive unit (300) provided for cooperating with an end of a tube transversal to the winding or unwinding ends of a safety cover of a swimming pool. A support point (A) is provided at the level of one end (220) for support on a surface on which the device is displaced, for forming a lever arm. The lever arm opposes a rotational movement effort exerted on the structure when the safety cover is wound or unwound and the device is displaced.
