Abstract (en)
The method involves having a capacitor (18) with a reference charge (13) loaded during a load phase (31) and the capacitor having an interconnection connected with a flame sensor (1) during a discharge phase (32). The length of time of the discharge phase of the capacitor is selected as a function of the characteristic of the used flame sensor and that for flame monitoring loading and or unloading the capacitor is cyclically repeated. A charging signal (30, 40) at the capacitor is evaluated with the aid of a threshold value (34) single-channel. An independent claim is included for a device for flame monitoring.
