[origin: WO2005084503A1] The inventive device comprises a body (1) provided with side walls (3, 4) and superimposed planar horizontally extending induction units (10) between which containers for food to be prepared (20) can be introduced. The induction units (10) are associated by one part (29) of the edge thereof with the respective side wall (3, 4) in such a way that said induction units (10) form the bottom of open compartments (19). Said device also comprises a carriage (30) having a practically vertically extending body (31). Holders (35) for the containers (20) are protruded from the sides of the base body (31) of the carrier. Each container (20) is disposed between two superimposed induction units.
