Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005085687A1] Swivel motors have considerable internal sealing problems, particularly within a large operating temperature range. In order to improve sealing within a temperature range of 40 to + 130 DEG C, a sealing device (20), consisting of an inner soft sealing element (20) and several outer rigid sealing elements is provided (21, 22, 23, 24). The soft sealing element (20) and the rigid sealing elements (21, 22, 23, 24) are non-detachably connected to each other, the peripheral sealing surfaces of the rigid sealing elements (21, 22, 23, 24) seal in a flush manner with respect to the sealing surface of the soft sealing element (20) in an unstressed state, the rigid sealing elements (21, 22, 23, 24) are distanced from each other by means of at least one radial compensating groove (25) and at least one compensating groove (26), which is parallel to the axis, and the compensating grooves (25, 26) of the two sides of the sealing device are arranged in such a way that the compensating grooves (25, 26) of one side do not overlap with the compensating grooves (25,26) of the other side.
