Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005116564A1] The invention relates to a device for feeding propelling charges to a heavy weapon, comprising a propelling charge magazine (2) and an automatic propelling charge feeder (3), which removes the propelling charges from the propelling charge magazine and feeds them to a portioning unit (5). In the propelling charge magazine (2), propelling charge modules (TM) are stored in guides axially one behind the other, in such a way that their longitudinal axes run horizontally. The propelling charge feeder (3) contains a continuous propelling charge chain (3.1) comprising receiving elements (3.2) for the propelling charge modules, in addition to devices for transferring propelling charge modules from the guides of the propelling charge magazine (2) to the receiving elements (3.2). A portioning unit (5) comprising means for transferring and assembling a predetermined number of propelling charge modules is located in the removal position at the upper end of the propelling charge chain (3.1). In addition, the device is equipped with means for transferring the assembled propelling charge modules from the portioning unit (5) to a propelling charge feed shell.
