Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005086408A1] The invention relates to an interface device (4) comprising a first register device (6) and a second register device (7) connected in parallel thereto, which are configured for accepting a data word (DW). The interface device (4) comprises a synchronizing means (52) to which a first and second clock signal (T1, T2) are fed and which is configured for outputting a selection signal derived from the first clock signal in order to select the first or second register device (6, 7) for storing a data word (DW) at the data input (41). In addition, the synchronizing means (52) is configured for outputting an actuating signal (MUX) derived from the selection signal and from the second clock signal to an actuating output (55). The actuating output (55) is coupled to a selecting means (8) via which the output of one of the two register devices (6, 7) can be connected to the data output (42) of the interface device. An additional register device can be foregone due to the comparison of the selection signal with the second clock signal (T2).
