The device has an auxiliary device (21) movable from a material web source up to a winding station, where the auxiliary device (21) includes two actuator devices (47, 48) that are movable in the same direction and arranged at a distance from each other. Each of the actuator devices includes a drive motor (50, 52), which acts on the auxiliary device with same tractive force. The drive motors are operable with a same torque. The auxiliary device is designed as a pipe. The actuator devices are designed as chains.

Es wird eine Rollenwickeleinrichtung angegeben mit einer Materialbahnquelle (8) und einer Aufwickelstation, die mindestens eine Wickelposition aufweist, und einer Hilfseinrichtung (21), die eine Materialbahn (9) im Bereich der Materialbahnquelle (8) in voller Breite erfaßt. Man möchte eine derartige Rollenwickeleinrichtung verbessert automatisieren können. Hierzu ist vorgesehen, daß die Hilfseinrichtung (21) von der Materialbahnquelle (2) bis zur Aufwickelstation bewegbar ist, wobei die Hilfseinrichtung (21) zwei mit Abstand zueinander angeordnete und gleichsinnig bewegbare Mitnehmereinrichtungen (47, 48) aufweist, von denen jede einen Antriebsmotor (50, 52) aufweist und beide Antriebsmotoren (50, 52) mit gleicher Zugkraft auf die Hilfseinrichtung (21) wirken.
