[origin: EP1721861A1] The guide unit has a shaping guide profile with a lip guide extending along the length (L) of the guide profile (3). The handgrip body (2) is in the form of a band with two end lips (5). These extend along two long edges of the body (2). They are so constructed, when the body is moving, they run in the lip guide parallel to the length (L). The guide profile essentially secures the form of the handrail in the direction parallel to its length and in a cross sectional plane at right angles to the length.
