Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2005068810A1] The injection relates to a method, a computer program and a control device for operating an internal combustion engine with an injection system, particularly for a motor vehicle. Fuel is pumped into a fuel storage unit (150) via a measuring device (130) and a high-pressure pump (140) in said injection system. The pressure in the fuel storage unit is detected and is adjusted by the control device (180) with control of the measuring unit (130). The aim of the invention is to also take into account manufacturing tolerances of individual measuring devices (130) in an arrangement known per se, when the pressure in the fuel storage unit (150) is adjusted, and to carry out regulation in a more precise manner. According to the invention, an individual characteristic (iKL) is determined for the currently used respective measuring unit (130) and is taken into account in order to regulate pressure.
