[origin: WO2005090854A1] A luminaire 110 for distributing light rays from a light source may include a region (114 )configured to contain a lamp (116). The region (114) may extend along a longitudinal axis (112 )of the luminaire (110). The luminaire (110) may include first and second reflector portions (120) and (130) disposed along the longitudinal axis (112). The first reflector portion (120) may be configured to direct light rays in a direction (122) away from the ceiling, and the second reflector portion (130) may be configured to direct light rays in a direction (132) toward the ceiling. The light source may be between the second reflector portion (130) and the ceiling, with the second reflector portion (130) defining a cusp disposed at a first side of the light source. The first reflector portion (120) may extend through the second reflector portion (130) and beyond the light source to a second side of the light source opposite to the first side.
